HIM 445: Professional Practical Experience at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is a three-credit undergraduate course that provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the field of health information management (HIM). The course is required for all HIM majors and is typically taken in the senior year.
Students in HIM 445 will complete a semester-long internship at a healthcare organization, such as a hospital, clinic, or insurance company. During their internships, students will work on a variety of HIM projects, such as:
