NUR 365 – Care of the Obstetric Population (3) at Utica University is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the principles and practices of obstetric nursing.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The physiology of pregnancy, labor, and delivery
- The nursing care of the pregnant woman, laboring woman, and postpartum woman
- The assessment and management of common obstetric complications
- The psychosocial aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood
Students in NUR 365 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide safe and compassionate care to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They will also learn how to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to their patients.
