NUR 366 – Care of the Aging Population (3) at Utica University is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the principles and practices of geriatric nursing.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The physiology of aging
- Common health conditions in older adults
- The assessment and management of common geriatric syndromes
- The psychosocial aspects of aging
- End-of-life care
Students in NUR 366 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide compassionate and culturally competent care to older adults. They will also learn how to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community partners to support the needs of older adults and their families.
