NUR 3805: Professional Nursing 1: Socialization at Florida International University (FIU) is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the process of professional socialization into the nursing profession.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The history and evolution of nursing
- The nursing code of ethics
- Nursing values and beliefs
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Conflict management
- Leadership and advocacy
- Stress management and self-care
Students in NUR 3805 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to transition from student to professional nurse.
