NUR 402 – Global Health Disparities Research is a senior-level course in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Miami. The course introduces students to the concepts and principles of global health disparities research. Students will learn about the causes and consequences of global health disparities, as well as the methods used to study and address these disparities. They will also develop the skills they need to conduct their own research on global health disparities.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of NUR 402 – Global Health Disparities Research, students will be able to:
- Define and explain key concepts in global health disparities research
- Identify the causes and consequences of global health disparities
- Understand the methods used to study and address global health disparities
- Conduct their own research on global health disparities
- Develop and implement interventions to address global health disparities
- Advocate for policies that promote global health equity
