NUR 411 – Health Policy Management in Professional Nursing (2) at Utica University is a two-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the principles and practices of health policy management in professional nursing.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The role of nurses in health policy
- The development and implementation of health policy
- The evaluation of health policy
- The ethical considerations of health policy
- The financial management of healthcare organizations
- The leadership and management of nurses in healthcare organizations
Students in NUR 411 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to be effective advocates for their patients and the profession of nursing. They will also learn how to manage healthcare resources efficiently and effectively, and how to lead and manage nurses in healthcare organizations.
Prerequisites: NUR 311 – Socialization to Professional Nursing and NUR 312 – Leadership and Informatics in Professional Nursing
