NUR 421 – Medical/ Surgical Nursing Care II (4) at Utica University is a four-credit undergraduate course that continues the study of the care of adult patients with medical-surgical conditions.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Advanced management of complex health conditions
- Management of chronic health conditions
- Management of end-of-life care
- Interprofessional collaboration in the management of complex health conditions
- Cultural competency in the care of patients with complex health conditions
Students in NUR 421 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to medical-surgical patients across the lifespan with complex health conditions. They will also learn how to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community partners to support the needs of their patients and their families.
