NUR 448 – Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is a senior-level course in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Miami. The course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for individuals with mental health disorders. Students will learn about the epidemiology, assessment, and treatment of mental health disorders. They will also develop the skills they need to provide therapeutic communication, to administer medications, and to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of NUR 448 – Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, students will be able to:
