NUR 473 – Senior Nursing Care Seminar Lab II (1) at Utica University is a one-credit undergraduate course that builds on the knowledge and skills gained in NUR 471 – Advanced Medical/Surgical Nursing.
This course focuses on the following topics:
- Nursing care of patients with multiple complex health conditions
- Communication within healthcare teams
- Delegation of care
- Cultural, legal, and ethical implications of nursing practice
- The role of the registered professional nurse as leader in the management of patient care
Students in NUR 473 will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios through case studies, group discussions, and simulations. They will also have the opportunity to lead and manage other healthcare professionals in the care of patients with multiple complex health conditions.
Prerequisites: NUR 471 – Advanced Medical/Surgical Nursing
