NUR 499 – Selected Topics is a senior-level course in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Miami. The course provides students with the opportunity to explore an in-depth study of a selected topic in nursing. Students will work with faculty mentors to develop and implement a research project or to complete a comprehensive literature review on the selected topic.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of NUR 499 – Selected Topics, students will be able to:
- Deeply understand a selected topic in nursing
- Conduct research or complete a comprehensive literature review on the selected topic
- Critically analyze and evaluate the literature on the selected topic
- Communicate their findings to others
