NUR 536 – U.S. Health Care Crisis is a graduate-level course in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program at the University of Miami. The course provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to understand the U.S. health care crisis and to develop solutions to address it. Students will learn about the history of the U.S. health care system, the factors that have contributed to the crisis, and the potential solutions. They will also develop the skills they need to advocate for policy change and to implement evidence-based interventions to improve the health care system.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of NUR 536 – U.S. Health Care Crisis, students will be able to:
- Define and explain the U.S. health care crisis
- Describe the history of the U.S. health care system
- Identify the factors that have contributed to the crisis
- Analyze the ethical implications of the crisis
- Develop and evaluate potential solutions to the crisis
