NUR 602A: Primary Health Care of the Family I Practicum at Keiser University is a graduate-level clinical practicum course that provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in NUR 602: Primary Health Care of the Family I in a real-world setting.
The course is designed to help students develop their clinical skills in primary care nursing and to prepare them for their future careers as primary care nurse practitioners (NPs).
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of NUR 602A: Primary Health Care of the Family I Practicum, students will be able to:
- Conduct comprehensive family health assessments
- Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention plans
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic illnesses
- Coordinate care for complex patients

Prerequisites

- Current RN license
