NUR 603A: Primary Health Care of the Family II Practicum at Keiser University is a graduate-level clinical practicum course that provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in NUR 603: Primary Health Care of the Family II in a real-world setting.
The course is designed to help students develop their clinical skills in primary care nursing and to prepare them for their future careers as primary care nurse practitioners (NPs).
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of NUR 603A: Primary Health Care of the Family II Practicum, students will be able to:
- Conduct advanced health assessments and differential diagnoses
- Manage complex patients with multiple comorbidities
- Provide care to special populations, such as women’s health, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Apply population health and public health principles to their practice
- Demonstrate leadership and advocacy skills in primary care

Prerequisites

- Current RN license
- Enrollment in the MSN program with a primary care NP specialization
