NUR 614: Primary Health Care of the Family at Long Island University is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the principles and practices of primary health care for families.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The role of the advanced practice nurse in primary health care
- Family assessment and care planning
- Health promotion and disease prevention for families
- Common health problems in families
- Pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of common health problems in families
- Interprofessional collaboration in primary health care
Students in NUR 614 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide comprehensive and compassionate primary health care to families across the lifespan.
