NUR 670: Healthcare Issue Policies and Ethics at Long Island University is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the ethical and policy issues that shape healthcare delivery.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The history and development of healthcare policy in the United States
- The ethical principles that guide healthcare decision-making
- The role of nurses in advocating for ethical and just healthcare policies
- Current healthcare issues, such as access to care, healthcare disparities, and end-of-life care
Students in NUR 670 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to think critically about healthcare policy and ethics. They will also learn how to advocate for healthcare policies that promote social justice and health equity for all.
