NUR690: Translating Research into Practice: Outcomes Management (Capstone) is a graduate-level course at Keiser University that provides students with the opportunity to apply the principles of evidence-based practice (EBP) to a real-world nursing problem.
The course is designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to translate research findings into clinical practice and measure and evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of NUR690: Translating Research into Practice: Outcomes Management (Capstone), students will be able to:
- Identify and synthesize research evidence to inform nursing practice
- Develop and implement a quality improvement project to improve patient outcomes
- Measure and evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions
- Communicate the findings of their quality improvement project to other healthcare professionals and stakeholders
