NUR 691: Family Nurse Practitioner Integration at Keiser University is a graduate-level capstone course that integrates all of the knowledge and skills that students have learned throughout the MSN program with a primary care NP specialization.
The course provides students with the opportunity to apply their learning to real-world clinical practice through a variety of activities, including:
- Preceptor-supervised clinical practice
- Case studies
- Group projects
- Presentations
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of NUR 691: Family Nurse Practitioner Integration, students will be able to:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients of all ages and with a variety of health conditions
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
- Demonstrate advanced practice nursing leadership and advocacy
- Conduct and disseminate research to improve the quality of patient care
Prerequisites
NUR 691 requires the following prerequisites:
- Completion of all other MSN program courses
- Current RN license
- Enrollment in the MSN program with a primary care NP specialization
