NUR 694 Diagnosis and Management of Illness and Physical Conditions of Family III at Long Island University is a three-credit undergraduate course that provides students with the opportunity to synthesize and apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in the NUR 690, NUR 691, NUR 692, and NUR 693 courses to provide comprehensive and compassionate primary care to families across the lifespan.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Advanced management of complex health conditions
- Management of chronic health conditions
- Management of end-of-life care
- Interprofessional collaboration in the management of complex health conditions
- Cultural competency in the care of families with complex health conditions
Students in NUR 694 will also have the opportunity to participate in a capstone project, which will allow them to demonstrate their mastery of the course content and apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world problem in primary care.
