NURS 015 is a one-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the basic terminology used in health care. The course covers a wide range of topics, including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and disease processes.
Students in NURS 015 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to understand and use health care terminology accurately and effectively.
Upon completion of NURS 015, students will be able to:
- Define and use basic medical terminology
- Identify and describe the major organs and systems of the body
- Explain the pathophysiology of common diseases and disorders
- Use health care terminology accurately and effectively in written and oral communication
NURS 015 is a lecture-based course with an emphasis on student participation. Students will be expected to read and discuss assigned readings, complete homework assignments, and participate in class discussions.
