NURS 060 is a one-credit undergraduate course that explores the many graduate career opportunities available to nurses. Students will learn about different types of graduate nursing programs, including Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and PhD programs.
Students will also learn about the different career paths that are available to nurses with graduate degrees.
Upon completion of NURS 060, students will be able to:
- Identify different types of graduate nursing programs
- Understand the requirements for admission to graduate nursing programs
- Explore the different career paths that are available to nurses with graduate degrees
- Develop a plan for pursuing graduate education in nursing
NURS 060 is a lecture and discussion-based course. Students will learn about graduate nursing education and career opportunities through lectures, discussions, and guest speakers. Students will also have the opportunity to complete research projects and assignments related to their interests.
