NURS 195 is a three-credit undergraduate course that explores the physical, emotional, and social aspects of death and dying.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The physiology of death
- The grieving process
- Cultural and religious perspectives on death and dying
- Ethical issues in end-of-life care
- Palliative and hospice care
- Bereavement support
Students in NURS 195 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide compassionate care to patients and families who are facing death and dying. They will also learn how to cope with their own feelings and losses related to death and dying.
