NURS 305 is a three-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the foundations of community-based nursing practice.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The philosophy and principles of community-based nursing
- The role of the community health nurse
- Community assessment and planning
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Vulnerable populations and their health needs
- Collaborative practice and community partnerships
Students in NURS 305 will develop the knowledge and skills they need to provide effective nursing care to individuals, families, and communities. They will also learn how to advocate for health equity and to improve the health of the communities they serve.
