Course Description
NURS 3121: Foundations of Nursing Lab is a required course for undergraduate students in the nursing program at Clemson University. The course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the fundamental skills and concepts of nursing care.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to perform basic nursing care skills, including vital signs assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
- Apply nursing knowledge to develop and implement nursing care plans for patients with a variety of health conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care for patients.
- Develop critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and make informed decisions about care.
