NURS 440 is a four-credit undergraduate course that introduces students to the principles and practice of oncology nursing.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- The physiology and pathophysiology of cancer
- Nursing care management of patients with cancer at all stages of disease
- Pharmacotherapeutics for cancer
- Psychosocial and spiritual support for patients with cancer and their families
- Ethical considerations in oncology nursing
NURS 440 is a lecture and discussion-based course with a strong emphasis on case studies and problem-solving.
